The National Open Data Symposium was a landmark event for Oman’s ICT sector and hosted a large number of international delegates besides national experts. The brief for Watad was to manage the three-day event by looking into every demand of the symposium proceedings and of the attendees.
Watad’s professional event management team provided the following:
Event management
Understanding the scope well, Watad derived a well thought out plan keeping in mind the nature of the symposium. It designed and installed the stage and provided top notch AV services besides planning the VIP seating area.
Artwork design and production
Watad’s graphic design team put together effective and impactful artworks which were printed to the highest standards. Watad was also in charge of designing and printing symposium-related stationery for all attendees.
Content creation and management
Watad successfully delivered engaging content for the venue screen, the symposium’s social media handles and for press releases.
Simultaneous interpretation services
Watad set up a high-quality simultaneous interpretation service (English and Arabic) for international delegates.
Event coverage
Watad’s in-house photo and videographers ensured that all proceedings of the symposium were documented in detail.
Our team brought out a newsletter on each of the three days of the symposium, taking charge of every aspect – from content to design to print.
Omani delicacies
During the symposium Watad sourced the best Omani halwa and coffee with service for all attendees.
Delegate hospitality
Watad took care of the delegates’ every comfort. We welcomed them at the airport, arranged their hotel accommodation, even prepared a welcome kit with Omani mementos for them and took them on city sight tours.
